10 Amazing tips for health
Grabbing food on the go, working all your waking hours and spending more time in front of a computer, than you do in a gym, all add up to one thing – it does you no good! If you are too busy to take care of yourself, then check out these ten simple ways to take steps towards a healthier way of living:

1. The little steps can make a massive difference
We know you’re busy, but you will be pleased if you just read this one wonderful fact! Did you know that by eating just one more portion of fruit or vegetables a day could reduce your risk of dying early through disease by 20%? This is what a Europe wide study found, so just exchange one unhealthy snack for an apple, could make a huge difference to your health!

2. Get out extra
Go out for a brisk walk at lunchtime and leave the emails for half an hour, it won’t hurt anyone! A lunchtime walk will be good for your heart and it will clear your mind. You also need the sunshine on your skin because that creates Vitamin D, which is known to fight depression, osteoporosis and some types of cancer.

3. Sever out the toxins
Work hard, play hard may sound like a good motto, but if that means late nights and alcohol at night and gallons of coffee in the morning, then you are filling up your body with harmful toxins. Alcohol, a lot of coffee and, of course, smoking can all have a detrimental effect on your health, so cut them down, or cut them out, and you will feel better and live for longer!

4. Drink extra water
Another one of important tips for healthy living is to drink plenty of water. Water is good for your complexion, your hair and it cleans out toxins from your body, so stay hydrated and drink plenty of water. Keep a bottle with you at all times and reach for that, rather than the coffee, when you feel thirsty, and your body will thank you for it.]

5. Eat out less
When you eat out, you eat more and you have no idea what is actually in your food. Cook at home and then you can control what goes into your food and what size the portions are. Plan your meals in advance and then you won’t have to go out for dinner every night.

6. Get your beauty sleep
Aim for at least eight hours of good, uninterrupted sleep a night. Not sleeping enough will only make you less productive anyway and it will also make you eat more, it will show in your complexion and it will put unnecessary strain on your body.

7. Adding is easier than subtracting
A very effective way to cut out the unhealthy food in your diet is to add more healthy foods and ‘crowd out’ the unhealthy ones. Start by adding one more portion of vegetables to your main meal, for example, and it will leave less room for the unhealthy snacks and fattening food later on.

8. Eat a proper breakfast to good
Breakfast often goes by the way when you are busy, but that extra hour you will gain, by not eating breakfast, will not be a gain in the long run. Skipping breakfast will make you tired and hungry presently on in the morning, so you will be more likely to snack on unhealthy foods, which will make you put on weight.

9. Get your exercise when you can
Next one of good tips for healthy living is to get your exercise when you can. Some very simple changes to your habits can soon create to give you the exercise that your body needs. Take the stairs and not the elevator, walk out to buy your lunch, and don’t get it delivered are just two example of ways that you can exercise without having to spend hours at the gym.

10. Don’t neglect your community life

One of the major killers, that has been brought on by our busy lifestyles is stress. Stress can cause depression, high blood pressure and heart disease, so make some time for calming and spending time with your friends and family. A study carried out by the University of North Carolina found that hug your partner for just 20 seconds could lower blood pressure and decrease the amount of the stress hormone, cortisol, in the body. Even the busiest person can find a 20 second window in their hectic timetable!
